We have a couple people on this thread with different issues. I cannot check my plugs because its 36 degrees outside so I can't test run the new build. I'm just trying to figure out this carb popping when the throttle is snapped in my basement ha. And yeah I can turn the a/ f screw almost all the way out without a stumble. I am lean on the int. Jet and was just checking for insight into a possible size for the mods I have done. Although I realize now every bike requires different applications. It just worried me that it seems difficult to find jets over .032 which is what I'm running.

Brendan, I apologize I highjacked into your post.... I just thought we both are in the same subject and I didn't want to run two different threads.

In my case... I DO need a bigger Inter jet... I didnt do as much mods as you... actually all I ve done so far is totally open up the exhaust pipes and install a K&N Spike Air cleaner (as far as I know, as my dog has been imported from the US and I have no clue where it comes from, neither if it is true it only has 800 miles on her... I doubt it very much!!!!)

BY THE WAY: Yes, get rid of the auxiliary vent plug in the Carb. It definitely made a difference on mine.

Lets keep working on it :2thumbs:

UPDATE

I am sorry for the late reply... I´ve been away from the PC for a few days...

Yes, I went up from 29.5 to 31 Intermediate and from 74 to 76 Main. GREAT!!!! No probs now.

Weather is also warmer....

I am going to search the forum about light bulbs now.... my Dog keeps eating them in hours.... brrrrrr If someone can tell me brand/model of what you guys are using it would be great. I am using "normal" car bulbs with 45 amps.

Thanks everyone.

Car Bulbs don't work you need a vibration restitant bulb.

I ran am.036 int on a 124 with super g..... It fixed my poping issue... .034 should be enough and you should be able to adjust up or down with mixture screw. Richer is better in hot climates". Keep an eye on plug color.... Let's us know what happens

S&S Cycle | Carb Quick Guide

This might help you to decide which way to go with the jets
Excellent I was going to post link also ! If you follow this procedure exactly it will fix you up. It's always easy to run too rich and I think most do that. Bigger jets don't equal more power. I have stock 05 117 am running 29.5 and 70 jets and it runs like a wild animal no stumbles or pops. I followed s and s procedure for adjusting carb. Do a basic carb adjustment take it on the freeway Find third gear do 50 mph roll on throttle til 70 mph in third see what happens.
