Removed the cover and where the clutch is there's what looks to be bearings in that clutch area...do I take those 4 bolts out and remove all that
I was able to fit a socket on my clutch hub nut by just taking out the throw-out bearing. Just take the snap-ring out and it the throw-out bearing comes right out. Not the tiny 1/2" outer snap-ring, but the bigger 1-1/2" inner snap-ring. The tiny one holds the pivot in the bearing, the larger one holds in the bearing. This way the whole clutch will stay together.
First I spent an hour looking for my old snap-ring pliers, then spent another two hours trying to get the snap-ring out without them (never did find them), finally went to the hardware store, bought a new pair for about 15 bucks, took about 40 seconds to get the snap-ring off with the pliers.
If your clutch hub nut is loose, don't just tighten it. Take it off and put some locktite on it before torquing it back down. Mine had a lot more than a couple drops on it, so I was liberal with the locktite when I put it back on.
And of course the hub nut has backwards threads, so lefty is titey on that one.
