Well after three different shops, a number of "former big dog mechanics", and a stack of time, I have a fully functioning K9. I hauled it from des moines, Iowa alllll the way to Ursa illinois, and let them have at it for a couple weeks. As it turned out, Steve the owner told me they had done a good number of EHC replacements, and a lot of times thats the case, but another common thing is the charging system failure. I was told by each mechanic in each case that "its definitely the computer and thats that." Well, the charging system was 350 dollars less than the replacement kit. See the charging system would have just enough to start it, then recharge a little bit, but when the computer didnt have enough juice, it would reset itself and die while riding. THAT BEING said, I have a new question. Before we went to pick the bike up, we drove to STL (gateway cycles) where my buddy picked up a 2010 ridgeback (EFFING SICK). I would like to swap my extensions out with his stock hardware, seriously how hard is it to swap these out? Will we have to swap breakline stuff etc? I'm not exactly mechanically proficient, but I dont want to just go fork over a couple hundred bucks to have em swapped out. Thanks
