Heres some fatherly (or perhaps grandfatherly advice depending on your age) stay away from a Ridgeback for a loooooong time son. This is not a beginners bike!
I have been riding for 45 yrs, raced professionally for 3 and I can tell you this is a beast, not for the timid or a learner.
Get some seat time on a honda, maybe a Sportster, but not on a Ridgeback.
The mechanics of riding is easy, its the staying alive part on the road that's tough.
Here's one other piece of wisdom to remember, unlike women, bikes rarely give you a second chance.
