You mean you need to get a 1 5/16 socket for the engine bolt.No adjustment on gun, I can reg air up to 225lb, took off trans nut no problem, I'll have to get a 1 15/16 socket and see if the motor nut will come off with my gun. 1/4 hose.
Rub ...I love the mouse trap had them on my Panheads.... I even had a handle coming off the top of my mouse trap with a 8-ball on it ..... broke lots clutch cables so I would reach down there grab the knob to engage / dis-engage the clutch. For all you fellow Karata owners that have issues pulling the lever I got the big clutch from Jim instead of the junior that he normally sells,so its a bitch to pull but it dont slip neither.....so one of my winter projects is adapting a Harley mouse trap for reduced effort
I gotta figure somethin out as threw the years I have used my right hand to sqeeze a lot off stuff but this clutch is tuffRub ...I love the mouse trap had them on my Panheads.... The pipes are Stainless Creations Pandemoniums, but they maybe out of business at this time.Hey Bryant, What Exhaust Pipe is that? - looks Awesome. Btw, picking up my
4" Set up this weekend. Can't wait!!! Your bike looks Sick- ENJOY
Haven't had any issues making turn lefts with the 4" belt. From what I heard the 5" belt may limit your left turns. For all you guys with the 4", do you scrape or have to limit yourself when you make a left hand turn?
Pardon my ignorance but what are Snap on Piles? Item #41. STRONG IMPACT Wrench, NOT THE CHEAP ONE FROM SEARS made by Craftsman’s (Can't do job without this
2. A "1 5/16" Socket for the engine bolt (most 1/2 set don't have this size check before getting started)
3. A 30mm Socket for the transmission, YES I SAID 30mm, it fix a lot better than the standard size and appears to be Metric not a standard bolt.
4. A set of Snap on Piles (pain in the neck to find too)
5. Rubber Hammer (If you don't have one, you will need it to get the belt on)
6. A 12" sprocket extension came in very handle. (Reach starter bolt)
7. BEER
Note: I didn't undo the transmission as Gas Man did during the installation because Jim from Karata said to try the Plate first and it fit prefect.
I haven't tried my belt yet because I'm waiting for my carburetor from XXX to come in so I have none at this point to try it out. But my wife even agreed that the bike looked BAD A$$ now.
