Normally, what I have done in the past, is if your ordering from Wild Steed Worx or HDM, I send it to them, and they throw it in the box. I'll look into it. What town will it be going to?

In your experience, is it better to use a flat O-ring or a round one?
The ring I make is glued on with black silicone, after sealing the paint to the tank. Any rubber oring will start to leak again.
I do make the rings, but I've never actually mailed anything over sea.

What I'm actually interested in is the underside of the disc. It isn't visible in the photos.
It's just a flat piece of 316 ss, slightly curved to fit the top of the tank. It's then polished to a shine and glued to the tank.. I'll see if I can find some more pictures.

Thank you very much. I have one last question. Do you seal it afterwards with an O-ring or a flat gasket?

Here's the instructions I send out with it, maybe it will help you understand how it works.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove stock paint saver (SPS). Remove the rubber gasket from it and throw it away. It will not be reused. If you don’t have the tool to do it, you can get one at
- Stick a rag or piece of tape in the hole, to prevent debris from falling in the tank, and clean and vacuum out hole.
- Scrape all loose paint from around hole, down to the metal. You may have to cut out some loose bondo.
- Use some JB Weld to reseal around the hole, sealing the paint to the metal, making it as flat as possible. Let dry completely.
- Fit the new paint saver ring (NPSR) on the top of the hole and mark which direction it fits the flattest. Ring can be adjusted with a rag and rubber mallet. (but not on top of the tank)
- Remove NPSR, and run a ¼’’ bead of Ultra black silicone around the tank hole, and then press the NPSR in place. A little bit of the silicone will flow to the inside of the ring, that’s ok, do not wipe it out. It is part of the sealing process.
- DO NOT add any silicone to the SPS, when you screw it back in the hole. Hand tighten SPS, making sure the NPSR is centered.
- Leave the gas cap off for 24 hours, so everything can completely dry.

The rubber gaskets are the problem in the first place. The paint needs to be sealed to the metal tank, to keep the fumes from getting under the paint.
