If you were to trade your dog.......

barhopper

Another round please
But if I sold my bike I could buy this, completley re built it (that was always been a goal of mine to do) and I would still come out making money, perhaps selling it and getting a new dog? Who knows....but it has me really thinking.
Our bikes are not worth what we think they are anymore in this climate. Very bad time to sell. I would think a custom would be alot worse even. I have a shit load of cash from buying it, to all the shit I have done to it. It is probably worth from a 3rd to half of that now. So I am riding it like I stole it for along time. :2thumbs:

To answer your question I like the Big Bear Sled but with the fenders rounded not pointed.I saw one in Daytona with round fenders It looks sweet. It sits so low its like you get into the bike not on it.Very cool

Now that's what I'm talkin about! I just started buying the parts and when the pile was big enough (10 years later) I built it and it has everything I wanted and didn't have to worry about epa and was only out $15K
:2thumbs: :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:
the difference between me and you though vet is that you know how to build a bike  also I can't even imagine what a pain in the ass it would be getting all the parts to the UK - and the cost!!

Shit, just get yourself a second bike. That's what I had to do.

Truth is, I just can't depend on mine and, I need one I can depend on. I've got to have at least one bike running at all times and, truth be told, I've had a LOT of downtime.

I still like the Big Dog and, I don't want to get rid of it but, the next major expense, I may sell it. You know what's even worse than the problems is the downtime.

Three lashings for thinking of giving the dog to the pound....
The scooter has given me a huge erection as strange as that sounds.....of course it may be the image of the pole dancer sitting on it naked that is causing it....lol:whoop:

I would not get another big dog. I already have one. I would like to get a custom bobber. Piece it together myself. No waste.

Also, I would like to get a EFI full dresser. Stock, turn key, with nothing more than some creature comforts, and a set of slip ons. Something to ride in the rain, to the store and longer trips

Until this week I would say that I would buy a new Big Dog but now ??? I think I have about had enough. With the trans still at the farm my hope for Big Dog is going away. My 06 K9 has been in the shop more this last year than I have had it in my garage.

Between shitty dealer service and big dog not getting me parts, I've had my dog less than a month total time since last sept. and, I've got to send it back for more downtime.

I just had a broken mainshaft in my transmission. Is that what was wrong with yours? There were like 8 other guys on this board with broken mainshafts that responded to my thread. WTF??? How does the mainshaft just fucking break??? That was a month of downtime right there...... I get it back and, it's missing shifts.

I'm just about done myself. Big Dog said that it was an isolated incident.... I asked Amy if she wanted names and phone numbers of others with the same issue....

I just can't keep throwing money at a bike that I can't fucking ride.

Rick Fairless is about to paint my entire bike again or, I'm going to lawyer up.

don't trade it in, just buy/build another bike. I'm up to 4 now and I fancy my ridgeback like a fine suit...it definitely pulls more ass than my other jalopies

The verdict is in! The dog stays! Now just need to find something with shocks for a long rider, or a little ricer to ride to work!

Not the main shaft , It jumps out of first gear . Just got off the phone with Bob Lockwood said it was just an adjustment ??? it has been in the shop 3 times ,last time the shop sent it back to the factory. I think it's a song and dance my warrenty was up on the 20th of April . I ask about the main shaft problem he said it was from abuse. Sounds like BS to me if there are so many of them out there . I'm going to see what happens whe it goes back on the road .

I don't abuse my bike, it abuses me!

Hope you have good luck with the new trans.... Mine misses gears now that I have it back. Just seems to go into neutral somewhere inbetween gears quite a bit now.
