Last I heard from BDM was that they haven't built the new battery box for the 250 size frames yet and the PDM was only available to the 300 size boxes. Maybe they have it done how (and they didn't let me know!!!!)Well since I had ordered one of the PDM already and it should be at my stealer waiting for me when I get home. Have to go with.
By the way, you have changed a few to the PDM if not mistaken. If correct on one for 05 and later, did the new BD PDM allow for the self canceling turn signals and flasher function. Seems to be unclear and possibly different info comng from BD.
Thanks and safe riding
Not sure Ray, but when I spoke to Bob at BDP he told me that was part of the new kit and was what they were waiting on when they were having them built. I also called him back to confirm that would be in the kit and though at that time, they were still out for production from their supplier, he did go through the list of the kit and it included a battery box. My dealer should have it in this week (unless BDP gave them some BS for BDP sent them an email which was forward to me saying it was being shipped a couple days ago on Friday). It better have the battery box and all the needed items for the price went up and it is costing me close to $700. Granted may be a little higher than straight from BDP but I still like to give my local dealer buisness (they always treated me well).Last I heard from BDM was that they haven't built the new battery box for the 250 size frames yet and the PDM was only available to the 300 size boxes. Well put! Truth from someone who knows! Thanks!Well, here is my input... And I sell wire plus...
Rewiring is the way I was going to go before I worked with wire plus on the BDM module.
I really like the clean look of the BDM controls and bars and didn't really
Want to give them up. I hate the bulky look of 90% of all HD style controls.
So really, this poll is confusing to people...
There is no way you can do any of the three conversions for the same price
Without loosing something in the long run.
Big Dog PDM - easy install, lots of stuff to take apart and reassemble.
Loss of self cancel signals, loss of flashers, lack of testing
Due to being new.
Wire Plus mod - very time consuming install, cheapest route to go, keeps all functions
as stock, few people feel they can't do the install, very little
Disassembly required.
Rewire to simple - most expensive, must change out to HD bars and hand controls,
Disassemble entire bike needed, custom bracket needs made to keep
Speedo, most people can't do it.

there's no electrical component on a BDM that a Harley don't have but HD's wiring system is far superior to BDMs. Also, BDMs are not one of a kind - there's thousands of them. But we've done that to death alreadyIf I wanted a Harley wiring on the Dog I would of bought a harley. These are special and one of a kind. I would like to keep it that way. Just saying..
Ray (and anyone else that is interested), my PDM for my 05 came in yesterday. Mine is a 2005 Mastiff with the 250 tire, anyway the new kit did have a battery box with it. The part number for the kit was 173-000103-00.Last I heard from BDM was that they haven't built the new battery box for the 250 size frames yet and the PDM was only available to the 300 size boxes. Any chance guys like me can get the details? I'm a bit far away and would prefer to rewire my bike myself.Like I said guys, NAMZ will do your complete rewire, with quality bars and controls, labor and all parts included for $1100. That's soup to nuts, you keep your existing speedo.

I had the dealer go through the pieces on the phone as she was looking at them and then my wife also went through them when she got home from picking it up. It will be approximately 3 weeks before I am back home and will do the install, but based on the information I have gotten for the kit that came in, they did include the battery box and other items for the 250 size or at least the 2005 Mastiff. Once I get back home and install, I will post pictures up. Hopefully it all works out and holds up for the long run.
Kaptain America has these on his bike, Definitely cleans up the bars.Anyone heard of or used these. Says on the site they're a direct fit for 1.25" bars.
