i have a situation

i was taking my motor and trans out to get my bike painted and noticed that the outer clutch basket is in 2 pieces. i thought the clutch was just needing to be replaced when i put it away but i was wrong haha. i posted a thread in the classifieds looking for a used basket if anyone knows where i can find a used one i would greatly appreciate the help. im not sure if you change the primary to an open one if it takes a different basket or not but some input on this shitty situation would help me out some. Has anyone else had this problem?:down:

i will try and get pics tomarrow. it is the outer part the chain rides on but its busted in the back not sure how to explain it but i will get some pics im assuming the
'new one' is a solid piece in the back ? thx guys

No its in the shape of the holes around it!

Does it look like this??? Or are the holes square? If they are square and broke at the holes thats a freebe!! Recall!!!!!

it is the square holed one for sure i dont think they will warranty it because i got the bike used i had the same problem with the rockerbox's and was told they were recalled as well and the big dog dealer here pretty much just laughed at me and told me to get bent but i will try and talk with them and see if they can do anything for me. trainguy what parts do you have ? since i need well just about everything to do with the clutch lol

Fuck the dealer call BDM!!!!! The stealer wont do it without BDM aproval!!
Or just buy the full Bandit setup!!!!

so i called big dog and big dog dealer and gave them the project number off my frame and nope no recall your screwed pall another out of pocket experience for this damn bike. im almost regretting buying this damn thing had i know that big dog backs there product this poorly i woulda just bought a harley. :angry: angry guy right here .

Your bike is almost 6 years old. I would not expect any company to replace broken parts at that age. Harley sure would not. Bikes break stuff, we fix it. Then ride and have a blast. These are great bikes, we just have to wrench now and then. Maybe your name has something to do with the wear on the bike. :lol: Git er done and ride. If not, get a harley, stay in the back and don't ride with the Big Dogs.

im just saying that its not a wearable part it shouldnt break maybe im just pissed cuz i dont wanna fix it lol. i just know even if the bike was older i woulda tried to do something for my customers when i was in the biz but im just venting lol ill suck it up and fix it and ride it and enjoy it lol. my sn might have something to do with the problem lol plus i beat my shit like it owes me money thats probably not good for it either haha oh well i got time im gna suck it up and get the parts and hope it dont break again
