Hey Gas Man,

Thanks for service tips, about all I can do from here (Iraq) is read up on what I will do when I get home. I have a new to me 2003 Mastiff waiting for me when I get back. My question is do you use this Scavenger Oil System? was it easy to install? If so would you know what model would fit best on a Mastiff, also thinking of using synthetic oil, possibly Ams Oil any thoughts?

Not having any beer for a year my have an effect on the consumption (home brew) ratio to install time, I will plan on a weekend.

Thanks,
Brent

SF180A... the unit just simply spins on like the oil filter. Run the bike till the oil becomes clean and spin it back off.

Amsoil is good. I run Mobil 1 cause its endorsed by S&S. And many will tell you their top end noise quiets down alot!

Yup,
like this.

That way, you can use your needle nose pliers to grip the flat end of the filter. The spring compresses against the flange on the filter when you install the tappet screen access bolt.
