If you know how to take the clutch pressure plate apart its easy to fix. That allen bolt you are referring too stick out past the pressure plate on the back side around 1" to 1 1/2"

If you chose to remove the pressure plate then remove those 3 bolts...back them off a little at a time or you will bend the diaphragm spring...once you get them removed then pull the holding ring and diaphragm spring off
..then remove pressure plate and you are there...install in reverse order and do not over tighten the 3 bolts as they bottom out and have x amount of torque which is not much

This sounds a bit much for me, but if these other methods don't work, I’ll give it shot. Is there video or post about this?

It's easier to do than take the outer primary cover off honestly...

If you drill it you are taking a serious chance of messing up.the pressure plate...the screw should not be tight in the pressure plate because the jam nut is what hold it in there... it should spin out pretty easy

You'll spend more time and higher risk of damage trying a easy out .. follow Knothead's directions and it'll be out in less then 3 minutes.. You might find a video.. google remove EVO pressure plate .
