how do you change taillight bulbs?

this way be stupid but i cant figure out how to change the bulb in my damn tail lights?

Its really not a bulb its a led board. Remove rear lens and using a small screxdriver pull the led board out of the rubber seal. I believe there is a small slot on the bottom you can pry it out. Then you'll see the small plug on the back of the board.

From what I remember you will have to remove the plug from the board, then if you don't have the special tool that removes the plastic plug from the wire itself, You will need a small pic to remove the wire terminals from the plug. If you look you will see a small barb you have to push in and pull each wire individually from the plug.

If your putting new struts on you need to

take the plug off of the turn signal board

remove the wires from the plug

pull wires threw marker light hole


did it come with instructions? Mine (ones with struts) were real clear

Its easier to remove the end that plugs in under your seat, But the instructions tell you to remove from the end at the light

mine did not come with instruction, wish they would have lol.

Careful When putting it back together again, The gasket around the LED has to be installed carefully. If not installed correctly to form a good seal it will retain moisture and mess the light up.
