I finally got my bike running after replacing a bunch of stuff I didn't need to. My bike would barely roll over and my cables were getting warm. I replaced the battery, cables and put in a bigger starter. Bike still did the same thing. My electrician brother told me to run a ground wire from the frame to the starter so I removed one of the starter bolts and slid on a ground strap and the bike whipped over like a Honda. So my question is....where do they ground a rubber mount motor? I see the frame ground to the battery but that doesn't ground the starter. I obviously have a loose or broken ground somewhere and I would like to fix it. Thanks guys! Today was my first ride after i did my own top end and everything worked great! I couldn't have done it without this site. The 500 mile break in is going to be agonizing. I usually like to shift around 3k so it's gonna take some self control.
