I have highway pegs on the Street Glide, set where my heels can be on the floor boards and toes on the pegs or I can stretch my legs out by putting my feet on the highway pegs. With the bars that you are trying to put on, it looks like your feet will be up in the air.

I was thinking the air cleaner was in the way and having straight legs out will round your back grabbing the bars

1) 27 comments in 1 day. Is that a BDB record? lol

2) Yall gotta lighten up. It was a funny. Do you honestly think any of us would defame or devalue our bikes? Rhetorical question there.

Side note...Those are actually the Lindby bars and on my wifes v-star950. I added the cree lights to it.

Thank you all for participating. :oldhardlaugh: :old2:

I've never had training wheels or highway bars on any bike. My spousal unit says they are ugly additions and would rather throw her bike on the ground than have them (And she has many times like every time she goes riding). I just tell her it's just a bike and I can fix it (after sex of course).:)

Do you remember being a kid and riding your bike around and throwing it on the ground when you get to your destination? That's my baby when she rides. Boy is she smoking hot.

Sometimes she gets her leg trapped under the bike and I can have my way with her. If she had crash bars then she could get up and make me chase her!

But, in the end it's your choice. Don't even consider the voting! I can't even vote for the right president (apparently I can't make the right choice)

that's more than highway bars -- that's an engine guard -- ie for people worried about dropping the bike.

Check out places like JP cycles where you can get highway pegs that you can add without the engine guards.

Put the driving lights up on the forks/triple tree

Why ruin the look of a bike like this with that stuff?

Just my 2 cents, but to each their own. If you like it then do it, just don't be surprised when we don't, and tell you when you ask!

Good job, Pete, ya got us. Well done, sir.
Thank you. I just wanted to add a little levity to the usual, "my shit is broke" atmosphere.

I have considered adding small lights like this. But I would probably mount them between the downtubes so they shine over the front fender. Try to keep the body of the bike clean and smooth.

One would have thought to look closer at those bars and noticed the bottoms weren't bolted to anything. :oldwtf: I know for a fact that I never noticed till looking at the pic for about the fifth time!!:oldeek::oldlaugh:
