mercurial mechanical skills!
you got it Jake ???
Must be an English thang!
Also Lee, it could be that yours works just the opposite of our bikes because your on the opposite side of the planet!?
Does all your electrical stuff have that funny European plug on them?
Just wondered...
had to give someone a hard time today!
The others issues is only the air ride system. The HID, only being low beam, leaves the high beam open. The air ride runs off the high and low beam controls and needs to have the open cuircut closed up. I do not see, you not having air ride, how any issue could be caused by the HID. If you want to answer any ??? about if the HID is causing it, please put your stock bulb back in and see if the issues go back to normal.Jake,
I'm having the same issues as others 2006 K-9. Rode today for the first time since installing the HID. When I stopped and turned the key off...all lights except the HID stayed on. Once I unhooked the battery the EHC reset and the bike restarted...only to have the issue replicate itself immediately.
What's the fix?????:bang:
Jake - Just to confirm, I have an '06 k-9 without the air ride system. However, I am having the same issue as emcclary. The HID appears to be sending my electrical system into a random frenzy, with the only fix to unhook the battery and reset the system - after which the bike will start but when stopped it again goes into a random frenzy....lights on with key out of the ignition. The others issues is only the air ride system. The HID, only being low beam, leaves the high beam open. The air ride runs off the high and low beam controls and needs to have the open cuircut closed up. Let me know what you come up with.
Thanks Fiber will have to check that out. Lee I was last in London five years ago and it definitely wasnt illegal then 170 proof will rock your socks if you drink enough of it. Jake got the wiring harness with the diode wont be able to put it in until Wednesday though. Will report on the fix at that time. Thanks for your support on this and I am sure it will work since your bud Matt is running thesame setup without trouble. Just wat to say Jake will go out of his way to help us with any of his parts and I would buy from him again in a minute. :2thumbs:
