I hooked it up and it is very bright - however, and I have pm'd Jake on this too, the bulb will only fit upside down - at least I think it is upside down - presumably the deflector strip should be on top and the "H4" stamped on the bulb itself should be the right way up? the bulb will only fit one way because of the 3 tabs - any suggestions would be much appreciated
Lee, the deflector on the bottom is correct and the only way!!
have been asked about the deflector being on the bottom of the bulb after installed and if this is correct.
Yes it is. Light coming off the bottom of the bulb and reflecting off the bottom of the lens is reflected "up" and light coming off the top of the bulb and reflecting off the top of the lens goes down directly to the road.
So... the deflector on the bottom of the lens stops stray high beams from going into eyes of oncoming traffic. If you don't like it, it can be taken off, but not re-installed.
Pro started this thread to tell about his install, but I have a larger thread about the HID kit itself with feedback and some tips on it. Go check that if your questions don't get answered looking here.
Thanks,
Jake
