I understand how you must've felt but my point was that you should have kept your cool and asked to talk to her supervisor. Even though it may or may not have done you any good you eliminated the possibility of getting satisfaction once you got nasty. :down:

Seriously...the wheel did not come from the factory with chrome...therefore it is not the factory's problem to cover you for it. YOU decided to have it chromed...and they are giving you a free wheel. YOU can have it chromed again...if YOU choose to (just like the last time...your choice).

Yes , it sucks that you just paid to have it chromed...would you rather die riding the chrome rim? Get over it.

Why would a guy come onto a forum for people who like these bikes and beat them up so bad. If you don't like the bike do yourself and everyone else a favor and sell it. For better or worse I don't work for BDM and considering times are as they are right now I'm not sure I'd want to... although working for an airline is probably no better!

So, although I can't give you an answer on your question about inspection/replacement, I can tell you what I know about aluminum (I mentioned I work for an airline, right? ).

If because of experience or testing the factory has determined there was a flaw in manufacturing of the wheel that could cause it to crack, it probably will! There's always the chance that it won't but I'd think the cost of chroming in exchange for piece of mind would be well worth it... :2thumbs:
