Dave got a new shifter linkage but it didn't come with heims. Bryke is linked above but they are zinc plated... that sucks... anybody got any more ideas for where to get some SS or chrome ones????

Where do you go to get these bulletins?

There is a Green (IMPORTANT) SB-1103 Heim Joint Replacement issued 03/07/2008

(Keep in mind that A Green SB is only if a problem exists and not a Recall)

Models:05-08 produced on or before 29 Feb 2008

Symptoms: Shifting becomes difficult due to binding Heim Joints.

Corrective Action: Replace existing Heim Joints with new Heim Joints. P/N 160-000080 and 160-000081-01.

I found out that all Wicked Image shifter linkages are RH threads.....thought it was RH thread on one end and LH on the other.......no biggie...I called Heather at McMaster-Carr and she sent out another RH thread rod end for me yesterday....and I sent back the LH threaded one today......thanks for your help on that Gas......should have that rod end on Monday...then I will take some pic's of the new linkage....:up:

Any one know what length shifter linkage I'd need for an 07 K-9?

I'd like to order one. And my bike is on its way, (so I can't measure it)

Just measure the one on your bike from center of heim to center of heim. That is the overall length. The trick I guess is to see if they have a standard size that is close to yours. Remember a little smaller and you can just spin the heims out.

I have been having problems with mine too.So i called BDM last week to see if they would send me some like they did some recall parts because im not impressed with my dealer and some guy bob said they no longer send parts to customers even though he knew its a problem and i have to take it the dealer for fix . BULL SHIT.......
