Someone mentioned the rubber gasket to me...I never had one or had left it out at some point and hell if I've noticed a difference.

It is slightly thicker than the halogen where it sits in the housing

Keeps water from getting behind the light and trapped in the bucket. I actually don't need the rubber since it never sees water

wear some rubber gloves, makes turning them much easier. On the inner ring you can use a punch or an allen to turn it as well. Clean it up really well and put some anti-seize on the threads of both when you re-assemble. I hope you're putting a Daymaker in there!

+1 that's exactly what I did 2 weeks ago when I put a Day maker in. What a great bulb. Big Kel sent me the link. I'll see if I can find it. 50$ and free 2 day shipping from Amazon.
