Hello, recently purchased a new 2008 K-9 in California and I want to remove the charcoal canister and associated equipment. Is it legal to remove?
If its legal to remove, what is the cleanest solution. Like to make it look like it was never there. Thanks!

I removed one for a friend all you have to do when it's off is put a plug in the bottom of the fuel tank [don't worry no fuel will leak out] then cap off the port on the carb/e.f.i throttle body can get this at the auto part store it's a vaccuum plug kit

If you plug the line from the rear of the tank on a California closed loop system you will need to put a vented gas cap on. With the stock CA cap that line needs to be open to vent the tank. One way is to run tubbing from that fitting under the seat and down between the engine and trany to vent the tank. (Its not legal to remove the closed loop systen in CA due to smog laws)
