I guess if you could get the VIN you could find out from BDM where the bike was sold.

That would tell you a little bit. That's a great price for an 06 but think I would have to look at it first or have a trusted knoledgable friend look at it for me before I put any cash down.

What would you look for on a bike that may have been a flood bike?
Look up and under it all and there will be rust. Look around bolts for rust. Another way is to do a title search on the title. It may show it. Some of those titles get cleaned or washed, but they should show if the bike was totaled. I bought a car once that had been in the bottom of a lake. It was a 2 year old Supra and the overhead cams went out. I started looking all over it and found rust everywhere. I did a title search and found out the title had been washed by dealers and rebuilders.

If it was titled in La. around that time...beware...lol. It may just be somebody in a real jam for money. I think those who have cash on hand will be able to find plenty of killer deals on all kinds of toys within the next year. Lots of folks trying to get out from under notes and not have ruined credit. Hmmm maybe a toyhauler for me...lol
