Recently changed out my TP boxes and added a .600 cam. Got all my parts from Curtis along with several pieces of advice. Thanks Curtis! My first run was to see if all sounded good and if any carb adjustments were needed. Mechanical was good but horrible decel pop. Back to the shop and adjusted. Second run, got 98% of the decel pop out and tweeked the carb a bit more. I will have to say I am tickled with the cam. A hell of a different machine! I will say that slower speeds with the .600 are finicky but not to a level that is a problem for me. Drop the hammer and gobs of power to redline. I still have a sneeze once in awhile. Going to 32 on the intermediate. I also have a dual runner coming. Got the jets so I'll play with it. I do have a plan. I'm going to try a 32 tooth sprocket. I am hopeful that this will improve the lower end of the .600 as rpm will be higher. Plus from what I read, 6th gear will be more usable. I have no experience with a .585 but I am impressed with the.600. can't wait to get it all together and see the difference. I do have the TP boxes if anyone is interested. They are in VGC. I know some guys still run them. I'll post my results when I get it all together.

Remember to recalibrate your speedo when you change sprockets. The sprocket will cause your speed to read higher than it actually is, and you will be racking up untraveled miles.

You might want to talk to Curtis before going to the 32 tooth. There are different opinions out there about using them.

I did speak with him. He advised that he planned on selling them before long. Several on here seem to like them. I'll give it a shot.

While I did indicate that I may be selling them soon I want to clarify that I don't think it is a wise decision in some cases.
05 and up BDs are plagued with the undersized Main Trans input bearing.
If you have done other power upgrades to your BD already then you may not want to install a 32 tooth pulley on top of all the other things.
If you ride hard, like I and many like to, then you will have issues with your main input bearing if you put too much torque through your drive train.
We are changing the trans plate in an 09 Wolf to accommodate a Baker OD6R so we will be running a 32 tooth pulley but the customer will not have to deal with the small input bearing anymore either. We are also running a BDL Belt Drive to support the Main Shaft.

Understand. If I decide to go with the pulley, what upgrades would I need to resolve the input bearing issue? Plan on keeping the bike.

That is the issue.
Because the case is BD proprietary we have no upgrade route other than changing the trans plate and going with an aftermarket trans or doing what BD is back was doing and use a Softtail Primary with a Jim's trans and adapter plate. You could use the Baker BD Belt Drive to get som eMain Shaft support but now that they have discontinued them that is out of the picture.
My personal preference is changing the trans plate, which I plan on doing on my 06 K9 very soon, but that comes with it's own host of issues.
Changing to a different primary still but I will likely go with a low profile modern looking belt drive of some sort.
I wanted to stick with the DSSC from Baker but they discontinued their's. The BD is proprietary to the BD trans case so it will not work on a standard Baker OD6R.
Adjusting the battery box and wiring to accommodate the higher more forward starter. I am going to try the Spyke Stealth starter as it is smaller in size so it may alleviate some issues right away.
If we are successful with the Wolf and my K9 then we will likely offer an upgrade kit but it will only be available through our shop installation or a shop that has been trained by us to install it. Too many variables and issues to deal with doing it any other way.

Thanks Curtis. I did some digging after your original post. It seems your on spot with your explanation. I typically don't run the shit out of my bikes but.... I'll check with you later and see what the outcome of your current project is. My problem is I'm in GA. Where could I carry my bike if you work this issue out?
