Recently changed out my TP boxes and added a .600 cam. Got all my parts from Curtis along with several pieces of advice. Thanks Curtis! My first run was to see if all sounded good and if any carb adjustments were needed. Mechanical was good but horrible decel pop. Back to the shop and adjusted. Second run, got 98% of the decel pop out and tweeked the carb a bit more. I will have to say I am tickled with the cam. A hell of a different machine! I will say that slower speeds with the .600 are finicky but not to a level that is a problem for me. Drop the hammer and gobs of power to redline. I still have a sneeze once in awhile. Going to 32 on the intermediate. I also have a dual runner coming. Got the jets so I'll play with it. I do have a plan. I'm going to try a 32 tooth sprocket. I am hopeful that this will improve the lower end of the .600 as rpm will be higher. Plus from what I read, 6th gear will be more usable. I have no experience with a .585 but I am impressed with the.600. can't wait to get it all together and see the difference. I do have the TP boxes if anyone is interested. They are in VGC. I know some guys still run them. I'll post my results when I get it all together.
