whats up? new member here. picking up an 07 k9 with 3k on it in great cond friday for 17k, you guys think thats a good deal? has pipes, its the green that changes colors.

most v-twin's have a tick to them. it's just that most pre-'06 big dogs had TP rocker boxes instead of S&S and they had problems.

That's the going price (NADA average retail) in this economy. It's a lot better than others have paid though. About the the same deal I just got on my K9 and I was happy with the price. I found a couple of others for less but they weren't the color I wanted.

this is my 1st big v-twin, so all these lil noises are new to me lol i looked at 3 other 07 k9s and most of them were beat to hell, not crazy on the paint but o well:cheers:

just not sure if its excessive or not? it has the v&h radius pipes. its very apparant at 40mph cruising

I think most rice burner riders or new riders notice this sound more than ole HD/BD riders that are used to it. Most times if it is excessive it can be adjusted out. Get it and learn to do your own maintenance and fix it and have fun with it.

Mine ticks and I can hear it over my pipes. Keep in mind the gas tank isn't going to muffle/block the sound with all the space between it and the top of the motor. It took some getting used to from a fairly quiet '04 Softail.
