Hey Guys, I have a 2006 K-9, Just had my fuel tank painted, does anyone know where I may purchase a new fuel saver and gas cap and most important what is the proper material I schould use to seal paint saver to tank? Thank you very much and Happy New Year to all!

What did you use to seal paint saver to tank?
I just used the gasket that came with it, I had it repainted by BD and they epoxied it in and the paint still bubbled, I had the tank fixed for the 3rd time and I used 2 part epoxy that was supposed to be gas proof and that peeled right off after the gas fumes hit it. You can see some discoloration in the flake because the epoxy allowed it to get underneath. So I changed paint saver and cap to a different design and so far all is good. This one vents on top, you can see the vent hole, instead of venting under the cap like the OEM cap. I feel the OEM cap vents under the cap and then turns to liquid on the paint saver and wicks under the paint saver screwed in the tank causing the bubbling. The cap on this one vaporizes and evaporates the fumes before they turn to liquid. Others have not had a problem and this is my experience with my own tank and BD had 2 try's at it and both failed.
I bought this from JP Cycles and its the venting one.

You know that old say'n, "Don't fix it if's it ain't broke" well.......... :oldlaugh:
I'm with ya! And the stock caps are pretty durable.

Couple months ago going down the road I guess I didn't screw the cap on tight and I hit railroad tracks and I saw something fly off. I checked the mirrors, headlight, pegs everything was there...im like what the hell was that? I park the bike I'm looking at it and see the gas cap is gone. I look a few lanes over in the intersection is there it is! Ran and grabbed it put it back on the bike and its still there! Got a small dent in it but that's it!
