I have a 07 Bulldog EFI. After returning from Garden of the Gods in Illinois to Tennessee my fuel pump was roaring like crazy when the fuel was low. Never made any noise before when the level got low. Does it all the time now. When about 2.5-3.0 gallons are gone you can hear it like crazy roaring or whatever. When you hit the run switch and the fuel pump runs, the last second or two when it loads up it makes the roaring noise. Any idea's what has happened? Bike has 9,800 miles now. Started about 8,500 miles after the long ride running at interstate speeds for a few hours....
Is the filter clogged up inside or the pump failing? Is there a gasket I need to purchase before opening up the tank or does it need to be coated again. I assume you pull the tank and there will be a access panel on the inside to get to the pump. Thanks for any info up front...
