Looking good Dave.
If it’s running better than it ever has, why would you want to fool with it?
Personally, I think that it’s a waste of money to tune an S&S carb on the dyno. The S&S carb tuning guide is short and easy to follow. I don’t believe that a dyno will make it any run any better than you can get it using the guide. The biggest difference is that the dyno usually only test at wide open throttle, so cruising around isn’t accounted for. The S&S guide tells you to go ride the thing, see what it does, and then adjust accordingly. There just aren’t many things that you can adjust, and it’s so simple even a caveman can do it (well except for that dang little O-ring).
Now if you have a programmable EFI where you can lean or enrich only at certain RPMs, then sure, dyno tuning is the way to go.
Or if you just want to know how much horsepower and torque you can get.
If anyone asks me how much HP or torque I have, I just tell them “more than enough for me” and if they ask me how fast it is, I just tell them “faster than yours”. So far I only had one guy tell me to prove it (my brother in law) and I can’t get him to put his Suzuki on the road with me for anything.
