Front Tire Loosing Air PSI Need Ideas

I keep my skill level up by changing car tires and my truck 305/70-R16 tires. I also help friends out. If someone is scratching the Chrome as described in this thread, then they don't have the skill or patience to perform this tire change.
Tru Dat on car and truck tires, but how regular do you change 30 and 35 series tires? they are a different ball game

I don't break the bead like they do in the video and it appears to me they are struggling which tells me their skill level is below average. Anyone can make a video showing how to screw up. What's the point? I want to see how its done correctly.
That is the owner of No-Mar demonstrating how to use one of his tire changers. And if he don't know how to do it correctly, then what does that say about his product?

That is exactly my point... I don't think I would have a problem with the Chopper 250 tire but I'm thinking it's going to be a whole different animal with the K9 300 tire. Because the 250 is a 40 series tire and the 300 is 35 series. Which means the 300 has a shorter sidewall than the 250. Correct?

Yes, 40 series is still doable but a little tougher, 35 and 30 series are bears to wrestle with unless you have the proper equipment and someone that knows how to use it.

This is my concern. I would like to see a 300 tire installed correctly using the No-Mar tire changer. If it is that difficult to do then I'm not going to purchase one, I'll just continue to use the local motorcycle shop to have my tires installed.

I wouldn't have done it the way they did in the video, why you wouldn't still use rim protectors when using the spoon is beyond my comprehension. Regardless that they are not supposed to scratch.

Motion pro makes some nice rim protectors for about $10. Also having another one of those yellow hands would have been beneficial.

I'm just pissed I didn't buy the machine last year. In the past year I've had 8 truck tires and 2 MC tires I've paid for. Probably spent about $500 in the past year alone to mount. Not to mention the truck tires are cheaper online, I got discount tire to price match one set (almost) still charged me an extra couple bucks per tire since he was convinced no-one would mount them for less than $30 per tire

Yep, Eric is right. I change my 330 as needed. Its capability is 360mm! I think I have a video saved somewhere on a 360mm monster tire change.:)
I would really like to see this video if you could find it. It would really help in the decision process.

Thats a kool changer but check out the mark around the edge of the rim about 3/8" in:oldconfused: don't think I would like that on my wheel and our wheels don't have the relief in the wheel for the bead to fall into like the ones shown on these machines. But that some high tech changer, wonder what the price tag is on that puppy:whoop:

$6K was the one I posted.

Check out the Atlas TC221 it's $1k - I think similar to the machine you bought from HF

Yeah that is and at that price is a hell of a deal, this one goes bigger than the HF on diameter but the motor is 110 and HF is 220, don't see that as any biggy. You can buy the plastic no mar clamp covers and duckbill insert. If you have the room that's what I would get.

It doesn't say or mean anything about his product. I speaks volumes of his individual talent, experience, and capabilities. If he is struggling with mechanical skills, he may want to ask his girlfriend or wife to teach him how!

This is the video that convinced me my 330mm tires could be done. From my experience, any tire will be difficult to lock into place, lift into position, and handle because of the weight. But, as shown in the video, it is an easy process. A very good looking female helper will make the process easier and fun.:)
