Front brake switch won’t come out

Hey folks I just got my new right side button set with the new brake switch. I removed the tiny set screw from the housing but I can’t seem to remove the old brake switch out from the housing. It’s loose but I’m afraid to pull on it too hard that it will pull the wires off it. Any ideas ??? Am I missing another step to slide it out ?? It moves out about an 1/8” and stops.

Spray a little lube?

You might be able to use the short end of an allen wrench to push it out. You will probably have to remove that little trim piece in front of the throttle, which is a pain in the ass to get in and out.

Spray a little lube in the hole and pull on the wires.
The Sensor hole is open on both sides.
If you cannot get it out with pulling, dismount the brake lever and strike it out.
Do you use the solder or the newer connector type?
some shrink tubing on the sensor of the old type is helpful because fixing with the setscrew needs less tighten.

If you spray like carb cleaner in there it will help because they are in there usually from the factory with a little rtv silicone on them...dont pull on the wires very hard...helps to push on the magnet just a little while pulling on the wires once you spray it a few times to loosen the rtv up

Ok guys just an update to thank you all for the
help!!!! I got the brake switch interrupter out. Spraying it overnight and driving it forward a little bit helped. Once I drove it in it pulled right out. I’m attaching a picture and you can see the burr next to the printing. Apparently either the factory overtightened the set screw or somebody after did. When I drifted it in it must have shaved the burr off enough to let go so I could pull it out Thanks again BD brothers ! C dog
