They're sold out on BDM, fuggg...Knothead has a harness on eBay, but it's for a chopper. Not sure what the difference would be for just the backbone harness, as I believe the only difference is the air ride. Which I believe has to be wired individually from the Gen 2 RIP kit I ordered. I got a 3 way switch I ordered for that.
I have a RIP harness on the shelf...I will look for it this evening

RIP harness I have is 04 model so it wont work on your bike cause of the ignition module is different
I seen that you had a an 05 harness for a chopper on eBay. I would imagine it's probably shorter but I could always buy me some wires and some JST connectors and make them longer if needed. Donna advised that they're currently out of 06 K9 harnesses, however she did say that someone bought a shorter harness and is going to make what he needed longer and that he would let her know how it goes. She said they plan on making more harnesses for my bike but it would be awhile.

I don't wanna wait but will have to if it's in my best interest.

If you already bought a rip kit controller then the harness I have forsale wont work on that controller...my harness is the factory style harness that works with the original ehc or the axel ehc that wildsteedworx sells...which most of us run the axel ehc and that's what I run in all my bikes

Mine has the Thunder heart ignition module. Idk if that's different than what harness you have.
That's the same ignition module on all 05 and up models. If you want this harness I will sell it for 325.00 here on the forum instead of the 380 I have on ebay...ebay charges 14.7 % fees..llet me know if you want it and I will locate it where i put it and send you a pm where we can exchange information

Right on, and I appreciate it.
I may need to do that. I'm curious as to how much shorter it may be than the K9 harness. I can always solder some longer wires on and heat shrink em. It'll be a Frankenstein style setup but I'm thinking I can get it done.

Just bite the bullet and let Knotthead fix/build/ whatever you need to get your bike running. it will be the cheapest money you ever spent to do it right. I was so disgusted with mine I was ready to push it off a mountain and he fixed all the other people’s f$$k ups and it’s reliable as heck now.

Right! I was about to take mine to a guy about 3 hours away before I found out that the wiring harness I have was the warranty fix BDM used when the original charging system was knocking out their ECM's.

Unfortunately my whole wiring system is obsolete. So now I'm forced to go back to the original backbone harness but use the RIP Gen 2 kit which comes with the power harness and new ECM.

I think once I get that backbone harness, I may need to make a few wires longer as it's for the chopper and a little shorter than the K9 harness. Which is fine and I can do that, but I just wish BDM had them in stock and I wouldn't need to do any of that.

However after all said and done, I'll have an extra power harness if anyone will ever need it. It's definitely been a learning experience, but a good one.
