They're $585, for an extra $200 I could get the RIP kit, would it be worth just doing that? Granted once I figure out what the issue is. I'd hate to buy a new EHC only for it to get fried by faulty wiring.
Yes you want the RIP kit. Call Matt Moore at bigdog.net Email him those pics of what you have there. I don’t know if the EHC Wildsteedworx has will hookup to what you have. Thinking it has a completely different connection. I would definitely contact someone at BigDog before spending any money. They should be able to help you get it figured out.On their website all they sell is the RIP kit, I didn't see just the EHC by itself.
So you are taking this to Mr. Wright? If so,he should be able to get you squared away. Good luck!Right on, I can do that. Guess she'll be going in the shop in Salem for a bit. There's a few other things that need to be done so may as well get it all done at once. Once I figure out what my issue is.
Good luck. He been lurking in the woods for a while.Yeah, I may as well. I just need to call him. I've got his number so I can set a time to bring it to him.
Correction, it's the original ignition module. Looks like 3306, possibly 33rd week of 2006 manufacture dateIt says 1239 for manufacturing date.
You still haven’t fix it 3 1/2 years later?Correction, it's the original ignition module. Looks like 3306, possibly 33rd week of 2006 manufacture date
Has it been that long lol, thought it was just last year or the year before. No, not yet. Lots of stuff went down and had shoulder surgery from an old bike wreck in 2017.You still haven’t fix it 3 1/2 years later?
Give Curtis @ WSW a shout. He has a great rock solid EHC and harness. Wires plus is long gone.Just now getting into the swing of things, I'm anxious to get back on the road. Does BDM still sell an original EHC, or should I go with a Wire plus, read that Jake helped someone with getting them one, or is RIP kit still the way to go?
I get it. Just surprised is all. Life gets in the way then kicks you when you’re down. Good luck. Yes call Curtis and he will get you back going. Hope you’re back on it soon. Will do, thanks again everybody. Ride safe out there \m/
If Knothead doesn’t have it…, you are gonna have to bite the bullet & get them both from Donna @ HDM. At least you can put the power harness up for sale here & someone may need it. Or EBAY.So Curtis from WSW helped me with figuring out what kind of wiring I have on my K9. It's the PDM kit they used before going under. I have just purchased the Gen 2 RIP kit with the D-sub style connector.
It came with the power harness but I need just the backbone harness. Big Dog parts kingpin sells the backbone and power harness for $399 but I don't need the power harness.
Doesn't anyone know where I can find just the backbone harness by chance. I also plan on changing out the VR and Rotor and Stator as Curtis recommended. BigDog.Net and kingpin both have them in stock but I need that backbone harness first.
I may have to get both like you suggested, is Knothead a member on here? I seen some old posts about somebody willing to part with theirs as they had opted for a whole new wiring kit but still had their backbone harness. If Knothead doesn’t have it…, you are gonna have to bite the bullet & get them both from Donna @ HDM. At least you can put the power harness up for sale here & someone may need it. Or EBAY.

I think the difference is the length of the harness. They're sold out on BDM, fuggg...Knothead has a harness on eBay, but it's for a chopper. Not sure what the difference would be for just the backbone harness, as I believe the only difference is the air ride. Which I believe has to be wired individually from the Gen 2 RIP kit I ordered. I got a 3 way switch I ordered for that.
Definitely, I'll have to wait until the K9 harness is in stock.I think the difference is the length of the harness.
