I know you guys have seen this before, and most of you wont like it or use it, but for me, this thing is AWESOME..... So I thought some of you guys might want to hear about it.
This weekend I went to change the oil on my 03 chopper, and as I was trying to get at the clamp and plug on the drain hose, I burnt my wrist on the exhaust (I HATE WHEN I DO THAT).
I don't have a nice lift, so I have to do this on the floor. Sucks. Including getting a pan under the bike.
So I open up the J&P Cycle book and remembered seeing the LiqiVac, oil extraction system for $50.00...... I went to there website and found out Lowes has them for $32.00 LiquiVac . What the hell, I'll give it a try.
The new one has a valve right on the fitting instead of a plastic clamp on the hose. You close the valve, pump it up 20 times, drop the hose into the oil tank, and open the valve.
This thing emptied my oil tank in less then 5 minutes, including all the nasty shit at the bottom of the tank that never gets drained out. Best $32.00 I ever spent. No oil on the floor of the garage to wipe up. No trying to get that damn plug and clamp back on.
I know you guys with the newer dogs have a plug under the bike, but try to get a pan under it without lifting the bike up. Pain in the butt....... For the older dogs with that stupid plug and clamp...... Getting oil all over the frame, and burning myself...... No more for me. Fastest oil change I've ever done. I even got to ride for an hour yesterday with the temps in the low 50s, because I actually had time.
My buddy came buy to check it out, and after I was done, he went to Lowes and bought one. Guess it wasn't a bad idea after all. Thought I'd tell you guys about it.
