Dear Tim, I am a new member compared to others. I recently had a very good experiences with a vendor, DLXPRODOX, who I wouldnot have Known without this forum and forumm´s references to the vendor. I have to believe in the group, I am in Peru, no help available but the forum. I already bougth from shovelhead and bigdogkingping that I met by this forum. So Honesty is required. I am behind you and gratefull to you Tim.

Iam new here and have talked to Vince (if this is who your concerned with)several times on the phone. I'm new to the v-twin world. And everytime I've talked to him he has been very willing to help. I do think this site is great and I have read lots of information about my pitbull that has helped me as well. I'm sure he will chime n on this matter. Are at least I hope he does...

Is there really a reason why we all need to go about it this way? I'm not defending anyone for anything here but I feel that if indeed there is a problem with anyone here then it should be taken up with that individual solely and not on this type of shit. Call it what it is an d I'm seeing it as trying to humiliate a person and coax him to fess up with something?

Who gives a rats ass on wheteher it's one or 8 with the same IP address. I find this to be a chicken shit way of going about this. The moderator or ownwer of this forum should be the one findng out what's going on. Not trying to sound negative here but HOLY SHIT PEOPLE! What the fuck has this place become?

This is a forum full of whiners and getting worse everyday I check into this place. Starting to believe that we have some serious cabin fever for some and some that just have business being on here! It was said earlier that this was the best forum that some have been in, not to mention that it's free and full of a lot of useful infomation. Take it for what it is and use it for what it's here for. I don't know a lot of you people here and chances are that we will never cross paths just like a lot of you wll never meet some of the members here so why bother with this type of shit??????

I surround myself with people that are trustworthy and they can always count on me to be there when they need me. I have no use for anyone that does not deserve trust! I am not sure who you are talking about but I think it is the same person that I tried to do business with and then that uneasy feeling that I was about to be ripped off came over me and I gave up on them. I too have been a member of many forums and this is the best forum I have had the honor to be a member of. I support this forum with my membership and I appreciate all the great info I get here.

I agree with most of what you said here Oscar. I think it might be a bit much to start calling everyone a bunch of whiners though. It seems most people on here are upset because they trust other members' opinions about products/venders to decide whether or not to spend their money. I do not blame them for being upset. I too rely on what others post on here. It is part of being a moderator to police just these types of situations. I would likely handle the situation a little differently but I get why it was done this way. It is a common rule on message boards that users are only allowed to have one account for just these sorts of problems. Personally, I think the additional accounts should be banned and an email send to the offender asking for an explanation. If the explanation is not sufficient or is disingenuous then the mod should ban them completely. That's part of the power of being named a mod.

I have seen this happen over and over again on other forums. A big blow up and then after a while things get back to normal. Sometimes moderators change, or someone goes off and starts a competing forum. A rule to follow would be don't believe everything on the internet. Having said that, this has been one of the best forums I have used. The credit goes to the owner and the members. This person obviously isn't one of us. Ban him!

Within a couple posts he came across as an arogant self absorbed prick. Then another user pops up with the same writing style and arogance... Not sure but did he really think no one would know? Is this a good way to get new business? Turned me off real quick.

Sad part is his shop is close by but based on his internet persona, I'd never go there.

anyone can get a new IP address so i dont thing banning will do anything. if you spend any amount of time on these forums you'll get a feel for the ones who BS.

personally, i read through the threads to get a feel for who i feel is legit. besides, isn't that what the ratings system is for.

I'm not against someone trying to drum up business for themselves but i think in this situation it goes beyond that. some of the other posts made by this guy were somewhat negative/arrogant and i could see how it would rub people the wrong way. i've come across all walks of people and always try to give everyone my share of respect.........that is until they dont give it back.

Anyway, thanks for all the input everyone. The reason I poised this question is to get the memberships views. I wanted to try something new, and as I've said from the start of Big Dog Biker, the members are what make this site what it is... I want to keep it a great and useful site and to keep up our reputation as such.

I've confirmed things this morning and EVERY SINGLE POST, no matter the time of day, was from the same IP address... from members Vince81, JesseAFFA and XWedge. If you want to review their posts, you will see the deception, especially when JesseAFFA and XWedge act as satisfied customers.

I also went this route to expose the deceptive acts, not to "lynch" anyone, so that all the members know about it and can make an informed decision as to any further interaction with Vince.

As far as creating new accounts, that happens. We have banned members that have created new accounts, and they either stay quiet and lurk or expose themselves again... tough to stop but I do review every single new account so I can see who I should keep an eye on.

Lastly, I don't know Vince. He very well could be a stand up guy but some of his acts have been deceitful so I'll allow his account to stand a few more days if he would like to explain himself to all of us.

I am on this forum a lot. I read just about every post. It doesn't take long to realize when someone is full of it. For someone to make 3 accounts so they can look good or make a buck is pretty sad. As far as banning someone they would probably just find a way to get back on and start over again. I say call them out on it and post the names of the accounts and let the forum members handle it. Those accounts will quickly disappear. Even if they open another account the members will quickly catch on and put a stop to it. This has happened before, it doesn't happen often, but it does occur. Post the names of the account and let it play out.

I totally agree. Duhhh I was a little slow but reading his post easy to see. I know I get great info from many of you and rely on that info to fix my dog.
