Back when bikers were bikers ...you had to wrench , adjust and tweek ...if you wanted to ride ...now anyone with enough cash /or credit.. can own one of these "customs" {and we all know that if your suckin air someone will give you credit }
The old saying really fits $30000.00 don't make you a biker. Me I really miss the old days .....most of my newer riding buds won't leave the state , or take a two hundred mile ride ..... Posers ? Not for me to say.. Just my little rant ... Great post Knotso ...

While well written (barring a few spelling mistakes :rolleyes:) but I have to say that you're preaching to the choir brother!

The type of "member" this is truly meant for probably won't read it and if they do they'll most likely just blow it off and say what they came here to say. :(

One of the best ways to shut down these questionable "members" would be for the rest of the membership to NOT allow themselves to be baited in to a name-calling, argumentative shit-fest. It only serves to raise blood pressures, wastes time and bandwidth, and prolongs the inevitable banning. Afterall, it's no fun to provoke people if you don't get a rise out of them, true?

Anyway, that's my... :zz2cents:

Seems like some people sit on there high horse and try to tell everyone how it should be.....or how they think everyone deals with stuff...Maybe is sucks to be you..to some of us...super moderator..I guess it could be suck ass moderator for BDM depending who does not agree with your theology..Don't mean to offend you..Some of these bikes are way off from being well you know reliable bikes out of the box...but I guess we should know that before we buy them..Give me a break...
Sometimes life deals you lemonades and you need to vent and that in itself deserves respect.....30k is still 30k..
Those that raise hell with there problems pave a path for those with minor issues getting there whinny little BS out of the way too...
Respect is respect sometimes it has no rules....:cheers: Sometimes you gotta swallow your pride and understand the opinion that is coming at you may rub you wrong..but that is ok too..in the real world

I whole heartedly agree with all the posts on this subject.buyer be aware first off get educated and above all remember this it's a machine & no matter the cost things will come along that cost money to correct (space shuttle - in the billions of bucks and it breaks)" YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY " Once you come to terms with that YOU will love that big beautiful beast !! nuff said......

Both great points by Knot and Neil. It all depends on how you state your opinion.

Like Grandma use to say, "you catch more bee's with honey than you do with viniger."

Well said. Riding the bike is a stress releiver and like Stnick said polishing is relaxing and no brainer work. Besides when it is done, you can sit back and admire the dog even more.

Well said, I have to say I did have a bad taste for BDM after first purchasing my bike and the paint started to peel days after, but they fixed me up and baring the clutch nut coming loose at 1500 miles, I have had only minor things arise that I have been able to resolve with the gracious help from the guys on here and from nelson supplying me with a manual (for anyone that does not have one get one, its a life saver). In the last 6k miles all i have had to do is change the fluids and adjust my clutch (which they should have sent a tech to my house to do but ill let them slide this time) and with that being said I think BDM should pay for my tire too because they produce a bike that allows it to slip and needs replacing way too soon. :whoop::spank:

Thanks for this Knotso, everyone on here and BDM for producing a custom bike that looks and rides great. :2thumbs:Hopefully there will be many more tires put on the back of my k9, before I have to trade her in for a new BDM!:flag:

Respect is given to all who speak their minds without all the crying, whining bitching that often accompanys it. You said what you needed to with respect. Hope to ride with you someday Neil.:2thumbs:

See ya:cheers:
