Mine hasn't seen the highway for some time now. It runs, I crank her up every week, wipe it down and ride it back into the Garage. It all started that I would ride it because I had drop foot and couldn't shift very well. Well that developed into Neuropathy of the lower extremities so now I don't feel my feet. I do have the new Heel Toe shifter and I can ride it to get gas and so on but not too far. I usually ride my Tri-Glide, I don't want to drop the dog as do lose my balance once in a while. I don't want to sell it so I may have it converted to a trike later on if I don't die first. :oldlaugh:

Sorry to hear about that Carlos, I now have drop foot on my right foot after the accident so I know what you mean. I can lift it a little just not all the way and it's not strong, I know I wouldn't be able to shift up with it that's for sure. Luckily for me it's the right foot not the left.

I hope it gets better for you and me! I've been getting better I think but understand the balance concerns too

The good thing is that Drop foot can be corrected with therapy, it's a matter of strength in your ankles. My brother had that and he is fine now. I thought mine was drop foot and went in to have it checked out and found out mine is a nerve issue, which gives me no feeling in both my feet. I wear ankle braces for stability, I can ride but I don't feel my feet which cause me to sometimes loose my balance. That is the reason I don't ride the dog too often and for very short distances. Like getting gas and inspection and small stuff. I can trike real good  and I am happy with that for now. I just hope the Doctors don't find anything else wrong and Park my ass for good and the would be the worst thing I would want.

I think issue may have something to do with agent orange for the two tours I served in Viet-Nam. But I have been tested and it all good as per the results of the test. Hopefully I can get another few years of riding, with my condition. Its a matter of mind over matter the rest will take care of if self when I die :oldlaugh: :oldlaugh:. You are still young and strong, I want to wish you the very best with your therapy and hope that with that and your determination you will be riding before long. Thus far you have done an amazing recovery and I hope you continue in the right path.

Good Luck

Yea I still have an issue with the nerves too cause the top of my foot is sleepy. The doctor and the PT guy says the muscles are firing just not enough but I'm hopeful it comes back. Doctor said 3 months and it's been over that since the accident. I'll hope it's 3 months of walking I got 2 more to go
