I really like what u guys did...damn good idea....now u give me a good idea for the wife cause she has trouble with the rear pegs but of course both are ridgid bikes so bumps are a bitch for her and i understand that...going to have to look into this and see about fixing her up with floor boards..

Screenshot_20190403-223009_eBay.jpg Well just found these on ebay and just ordered a set for both bikes offered 60.00 and they accepted...clevis stud rotate and clamps with 4 allen bolts so u can rotate to the way she will like them

Nice job. How’s vibration in the floorboards compared to the pegs? I move my foot around a lot due to vibration in my pegs.
Good Q Unsprung. Yesterday I noticed that instead of all vibration coming through the arch of my foot, it is distributed across the sole of my boot instead. I think it helps, and of course you can move your foot around several inches on the gloorboard.

Be interesting to see how bad they scrap in the turns. You and Roger should of road down the Pig Trail to test them out. Let us know how they work in tight turns

Unsprung

In the Potters hand...

Thanks for the feedback Rick. Being vertically challenged, I do not have a lot of room to change position, (I do move my feet to the rear pegs at times). This may be an option though.

Conclusion: We arrived home on Friday after a three day 1,500 mile trip to the TX Hill Country. I think the floorboards are one of the best mods ever, and I am confident that the Bulldog Bagger floorboards (from Shovelheadkicker) would apply to any current model of BDM. Again, installation is easy, by drilling a new pilot pin hole in the clevis for correct floorboard mounting angle. The quality of the floorboards is the best. The fit and finish of black and chrome is absolutely gorgeous.
I didn’t didn’t scrape a floorboard at all, but Blacktopper did once while we were riding the 3 Twisted Sisters. I would add that since we were unfamiliar with the route (and it is quite varied) we weren’t pushing the envelope.
IMHO the floorboards add a level of comfort equivalent to a new seat. It is easy to move your feet around several inches, and the vibration is decreased because leg weight leg is distributed across the sole of your boot instead of the arch of your foot on the footpeg.
The Bulldog Bagger floorboards are on the K9 to stay.

We were bummed out to miss you and Eric in Dallas too. But with Dallas expecting over an inch of rain Saturday, we figured it was better to ride hard form a couple of days than to ride cold and wet.
Looking forward to caring you at the Gathering and at Mastiff Dave’s for the Fayetteville Rally

Glad you and Roger had a safe trip and were able to miss the rain. Were the Sisters as good as expected?

How'd they install, good, bad, not at all?
Curious minds want to know.
Yeah i got them...put them on lastnight...post #29...they where to loose and wouldnt tighten up good with the supplied nylon bolt washer so i used the original ones from my pegs...had to sand them down just a little and they fit great...set them to the way she wanted them and she loves them....i hadnt put them on my other bike yet...think im going to try to remove the anodized because that bike is silver and want match the bike at all....think going to use oven off and polish them out

If I keep my K9, I might invest in a set of these. Thanks for sharing the pictures and info:oldthumbsup:

Glad you and Roger had a good trip and missed all the rain. Sounds like the floorboards are the way to go. And I think they still look good on the bike

Like I said - y'all made the right call. It rained all day Saturday and flooded Sunday. There was about 5" here in Austin over the weekend. This ain't Houston - those are huge numbers for us here in the desert.
