OK... you guys ragged me enough about my right rear turn so time to do something a little more permanent and less wonkie. Got some cool ideas and a set of PERFECT little chrome clamps on the way from Phat Performance Parts. Searched like crazy to find something that will let me move 'em back and onto the sissy bar sides just past and out of the way of the pipes. These should do nicely. Made for 5/8" bar.

Anyway... I have some ideas based on other posts. Possibly adding an LED Tail/Stop floating in the Sissy Bar or a strip under the fender.

But was wondering where the Signals get their flashyness from. Is it the LED board, the EHC or MAGIC ? Ooooooooo

I'm on an '03 Chopper with Factory wiring. Never had any electrical problems and as posted in my Intro the Factory, during recall, "upgraded" the electrical but don't know what that means. The EHC is the round plug not USB.

The flashing is from the EHC. Your 03 has the brake flasher on it right? When you step on the brake pedal the brakes lights flash three times then come on steady. I miss that feature from my old 03! I hear that the dealership can plug into the EHC and change it if you want but I like it. Rumor has it some states didn't like it so BDM had to go to the regular brake light function.

I like your pipes

Yes! I love that feature too! That's why I ask. I'm hoping to keep that. If I add in an additional LED tail light is the EHC gunna' freak out?

I'm intrigued by the EHC elimination but since I've never had any problems I don't wanna' fix what ain't broken. Been reading posts on the subject and am unclear on the main reason people do it. Is this something I need to consider for my '03 or is this for the newer Bikes?

Thanx for the info Raywood! You rock!! GO NAVY! :flag:

How did you know I was Navy. I don't have any of that in my profile that I know of. But..... I only did 30 yrs on Nuclear Subs. :D

Plug in your new tailights and enjoy. The 03 models were pretty good. I had an 03 Mastiff like LDO's and it ran and ran. You should have no problems.

30 years! Awesome!... It's on your profile.

What's the main reason people do the Wire + mod?
Thanx again for the help.

Because alot of people have been left stranded by their EHC. If you have had no problems I wouldn't worry bout it til that day comes!
