Love the Shirt Ray! I hope I can find one for Andy!

Andy was moved to a Rehab Hospital. It's for Rehab before Rehab.
It's kinda gross. I don't like it and neither does Andy. He doesn't get the "personal" attention like he did in ICU or the Hospital room. You kind of have to take care of yourself, which he isn't able to do. I have to spend a lot more time with him to make sure he is taken care of.:(

He is now at:
Baylor Specialties Hosptial
3504 Swiss Ave. Room 207-A
Dallas, Tx 75204

I saw Andy after work (of couse) and he didn't have his feeding tube or his ventilator any more! He had a tray of soft food in front of him! Wow what a sight for my eyes! He couldn't coordinate the fork with the food or manage to get it to his mouth, so I fed him a small amount. His first food in a month and a half! He was angry that I had to feed him but I was just too happy to help him. He said gruffly though his trach that they ask him to write his name and mine on a piece of paper but he couldn't do it. He said he knew how to spell them but for some reason his hand couldn't write them. I told him it will come in time with therapy. All of this tired him out and he was in pain so he got a pain pill and went to sleep. He is improving so much it amazes me!

Thank you all for your prayers and support!
You guys and girls are wonderful. Thank you for being our friends!

They are taking Andy to Rehab right now!
That's great news Cindy. Actually, I've been in a very similar situation as Andy, and it is frustrating when your mind says one thing but other things don't want to cooperate. Time and therapy will take care of that. Just take baby steps for now. He'll be leaping before you know it. Brad
