Everything ok here so far. Very windy and raining still. Thinking of many who are not so lucky and were hit very hard. Not sure what today will bring from her. Only time will tell.

We took a pounding in NJ. Over 2,000,000 people without power, including me. Luckily there wasn't much rain that fell where I am or it could have been much worse. Luckily I have a generator. Anyone along the coast took a real pounding. Lower manhattan is under water as well and all the tunnels are flooded out. In queens NY there are 50 homes fully engulfed in flames because of the heavy winds spreading flames. This one got us all real good. Good luck to everyone dealing with this and be safe.

Yesterday I saw a massive crew of tree trimers headed east from Nashville on the interstate. It looked like possibly every bucket truck one company here has and other trucks full of people headed east. We hear that the Electrical crews from here are already there on the news here. We wish for all of you the very best during this time. You are all in our prayers.

alot of down trees..going to take several days with my saw to clear the mess...

Two only- out of a lot of friends still in some trouble, W VA and PA folk, everyone else we know is OK so far, we are too. Nice of you to ask. We were lucky.
The good Mrs. and I are heading towards the coast tomorrow to lend a hand to some locals we don't personally know but we're volunteering through a church oriented community org friend's ask... we will be home before trick or treat and ready to go again as needed.
Anybody who thinks they need a hand then PM me, we can make a delivery or likely help out some other way. I took the week off from work just in case, I had extra vacation time to use up.
Think about a Red Cross donation if you would folks. We do that when stuff hits other parts of the country, as best we are able to.
Shout out to a lot of guys from the south and from Canada who work for Nat Grid, they got people and trucks here and they are working their tails off. A couple of trucks stopped in at a place I was having lunch at today- we covered their bill, seemed like the least we could do.

Good overall here. Spent about 16 hours on generators with lots of good winds and some very strong gust in the late even early morning. Constant rain but no flooding at the house. Some of the local creeks and rivers are up very high, many trees down, but out house made out good.
Lots of snow piling up just a little west of me.
Count my blessing and my prayers out for all effected everywhere, especially some of those up along NY, NJ coast.

damn, always good to hear that the "out house" made it through alright. would make life uncomfortable if it didn't. :roll::roll::roll:

I live in Baltimore county MD,we are right up the street from the Bird River,and our electricity didnt even go out let alone the cable!!!!!!! I think the reason beings is the bottom end of the storm hit us and sucked water outta the bay and rivers versus being on the top end where Jersey and NY got hit and the water was pushed in from the ocean causing huge surges......I am not a meterologist but we have seen many storms before and were very fortunate during this on......My Grandmother lives righ on the water and it never came up over the bulkhead.........

Big Mike is in Trenton I believe. However there are more members that live closer....Hopefully all is well with them.
