I did! 200.00 bucks later since I couldn't find it I decided to make sure it didn't slip down off the bar again.
I drilled and tapped the chrome plate midway between top and bottom and inserted a small set screw. I marked were the set screw would come in contact with the sissy bar and took a file and cut a notch on each side of the bar. Lined it up and bolted the pad back to the bracket and set the set screws. Problem solved.
