The dealer is Xtreme Cycles in Simpsonville..... No WW, they did not do the update.(maybe they uninstalled the update it cause it was working fine until I took it in,lol) I just learned about this from Anne's Dixon(BDM warranty specialist) email. They told me they had done eveything oustanding as far as the service bulletins and recalls were concerned..... Not a big deal but miss seeing that needle climbing fast & steady.

I am here in Greenville and use Xtreme for everything. They have done a solid job for me all the way. They have a good relationship with BDM from what I can tell. The BDM guys (Jason Ohmester) were set up with them in Myrtle Beach for bike week. I did tell them of one issue I was having but they seem to have forgotten to check on it. I am going to have to have them look at it again next time I am up there.

BigSpenda, Richard is a friend of a friend and seemed like a really nice guy. (and Johnny seems to know his stuff too) Dont know why everyone else seems to get lots of things done to their bikes but I cant get chit repaired on mine unless I come off big bucks. My first mistake was not loading the bike up and heading to Myrtle. Seems like everyone who had a problem with anything got it repaired with very little hassel. And dont get me wrong, I dont mind paying for what I have to but if BDM does it for one person, they should do it across the board. Even took Fiber's suggestion and asked Anne to send me the history of what has & hasn't been done but have yet to hear back from her. That was about 2 weeks ago. I feel as though I have handled things very professionally with Xtreme and BDM but this is getting old. ......OK, Im done whinning. Gonna get on the Dog & go grab me some wings and a cold one. Ride safe.

Richard is a good fella from all my dealings with him. Johnny really does know his stuff, you are right about that. I had a speedo issue a while back but Johnny couldn't get to it before bike week so I went to see them in MB to get it done. Luckily Jason from BDM was there and fixed it in less than 15 minutes. No problems since. To tell you the truth, I think some of the guys on here actually know as much about Big Dog's as a lot of the mechanics at the dealerships. Mainly because about all that's talked about on here is BDM. I would take it up there and talk to Johnny about it. Sometimes I think the other guys simply tell Johnny what you are complaining about and then he tries to fix it. I think something gets lost in the translation. I had a issue and right after I left the shop it started again. I took it back about an hour later and Richard tried a couple of things to no avail. I waited for Johnny to get done with what he was doing and he was able to tell me what was going on. I hope you get the problem fixed.

I'm having problems with the orginal speedometer (13,000 miles) on my 07 K9 bouncing all over and being irratic. It just started doing it. My speedometer only powers up once. It never had the second flash updated. Speed sensor is good and i still have the speedometer mounted with the small bracket. Does this problem get fixed with installing a Dakota Didgtal or the Medallion speedometer or do you have to install the new PDM retrofit kit?
