Well I as was taking a short ride on my 2008 K-9 EFI this morning to warm it up for making the 2500 mile oil change. The engine simply quit on me - no warning, no unusual indicator lights - nothing. Tried to restart, got the speedo hand sweep, but heard a very weak sound coming from the fuel pump inside the tank. Normally, it makes a fairly loud whine - not now, just a quieter hummmm. There are no ECH indicator lights visible under the seat of my bike. I don't know where they are hidden so I don't know if these lights are indicating anything. Any ideas from you that have had similar failures would help. Thanks.

Forgot to mention the engine turns over like normal. It simply doesn't start. When the engine stopped on me, it didn't hesitate, sputter, or bogg down like it was loosing fuel, it just quit running. I checked the battery terminal and they are all tight. Also, checked the battery voltage and read 12.8 volts.
Update: Pulled spark plugs and turned engine over while grounding plug base against head bolt - no spark at either plug. The diagnostic flowchart says to pull the right side battery cover and check indicator lights. My K-9 appears to have a one piece cover. Not sure how to remove it, but I'll look to see what I can do. Guess I'll take it over to Dallas Strokers next week. That's a long trailer drive.
