Thanks for posting, seems like a very simple system.
Wish this had comealong a month ago as am still waiting for my WP to be manufactured.
WP also told me they have a "new" unit that is about to go into manufacture, it is supposed to be stronger and more vibration resistant. Sh.t i thought the WP unit "was" bullit proof.
Another option, i guess as the years progress since our bikes were built alternative parts and suppliers are going to be well received.
Cheers

this is wonderful but just too good to be true i would like to see these units and hear more about them in someone elses bike first. so for now i guess the big ehc-less POS sits. now if this company would like to give out a few and pass this by word of mouth………HINT HINT! also more info on this product needs to be shown.

Haven't heard from my local shop yet but hopefully my "M" arrives today. Day off tomorrow, then good weather this weekend. With any luck it'll all be done by tomorrow afternoon. Find it funny I like tinkering more than riding sometimes…

Very cool, but I looked at the manual and all the INPUTS are +12 volt.

Our BDM bikes are Negative feed from hand controls so some major changes will
need to be done to get this to work.

Would be nice to have another option for EHC replacement!

Not really too major... disconnect the wire supplying the ground to the handlebar controls and connect it to positive. Now you have a +12V output from the controls into the new unit. Since the current draw of the m-unit is so low it shouldn't hurt the switches.

This is a very good find for sure and cant wait to see the results. It would be great to have this option to use as I was going to pull my wireplus and do a complete moespeed rewire this winter anyway. Hurry up Thors.

Actually it states all inputs are switched to earth...meaning to activate you ground them. The terminals themselves are energized positive. Did I miss something?

Actually, I don't see where it states "all inputs are switched to earth".

But it does show all inputs as being switched to ground on the diagram in the manual on page 8.

And the current to the bar controls is 1/10th of the safe current for the 2005 -up controls. so that is good.

Only thing I see is we don't have a separate middle brake light.

This means possibly having to tie-in the brake output (break in the manual) to the rear signals to get brake lights like we have now. That would take 4 diodes. You would have to put a diode in both rear right and rear left signal wires to keep the front signals from coming on when you hit the brakes. Then you would have to put two diodes in the brake wires going to rear signals to keep a direct short from making both rear signals come on when just one is supposed to. Pretty easy really. just need 10 Amp diodes.

My local motorcross shop.

Quick story: I bought a bunch of quads from them over the years. They are a full honda/suzuki/yamaha dealer. Took a ride down on the dog one day and the parts guys were all over it. Then one of them says "you know we can get any part you need for this". Went upstairs and priced out S&S rocker boxes. $475! Checked some other parts and they almost always beat internet and the parts are there in a day or two. Sure enough they have a deal with SpieglerUSA...hence the m-unit from them.

THORS....Have you had a chance to experiment with the M-Unit...kind-of anxious to see the results. Between the M-Unit and the micro switches recently polled, the combination may be the answer?

Ok guys, I can now give a final report on the M-unit. It works.

It works REALLY good and has some cool features!!

Literally just finished about 10 hours of work on the bike, it's running, I'm going riding. I took some pics of the install and will post a write up soon.
