This may help.
I replaced mine but I didn't use the RIP gen 2.
1. Push the shaft of the starter motor with a button at the motor = No relay, no button at the handlebars.
2. Old style (HD) voltage regulator from the two wires out of the stator, heavy wire to the battery = charging system.
3 Winkers = Hand signals.
4. Head/taillights = Toggle switch w/fuse to a hot/ground remote box.
5. Brake light = Switch w/fuse off a remote hot/ground remote box.
6. Cup and trigger plate off the crank's cone = Ignition.
7. Heavy bent feeler gauge taped to the handlebars and wired to the coil = Kill switch.
