Ordered auto clutch from Garry at EFM. Took out clutch basket and sent to them and it is on the way back now. Very good people to deal with so far. Should be here in a few days and I'll give everyone an update on it. Been wanting it for a while but have been doing my research and finally decided now was the time before the stop and go crap at Myrtle Beach Bike Week.

You have original primary?
There is a lot of info and discussion about the EFM to be found on threads.
EFM is nice once you get the setup correct and adjust it just right. You may need to be a bit patient with it.

When I changed my bars I had a hell of a clutch pull. Nothing I done could fix it so this is just another step in that progress. And no I don't have the old primary. I'll keep everyone informed

By original I meant not open primary. Problem is EFM seems to send wrong parts once in the while, to my knowledge there is not a single human in earth who understands his instructions, he seems to forget what bike he is giving instructions while giving them.
It is much nicer to install and adjust on open primary, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work too well but in wet one.
I managed to make mine work pretty well, until it got bit hot I suppose (700 miles day) and the whole system started flexing. That of course is impossible since the unit is billet aluminum. There is a hole in my garage ceiling from the unit when it somehow slipped my from hand when I dismantled it. Curtis ,as far as I know, has one, but he wisely has not taken any part on threads about the problems on installing and adjusting since he has real work to do.

They have been around a long time. Known and heard of a bunch of folks over the years that had them. Many just gave up trying to set them up and abandoned them, many installed and tried to keep them working for any period of time. I don't know of anyone who has had one for more than a year and not gotten rid of it. Seems like anything around this long should have been perfected, not still a work in progress.

So for an update installed yesterday. For sure directions are not much good they are for harley but it's pretty straight forward. Had to take primary back off to use the larger steel. Had problems adjusting clutch but after stepping back and thinking last night about it I get back on it this evening. Other than that the ride is great. Shifts like butter and quick response. You definitely have to do some figuring with the few instructions that he sends with it. I'll post another update soon

Working great so far. Using the thickest steel it is very sensitive and really hooks up. Might go to the stock size steel but I'm gonna give it a few more weeks of riding. Don't see the purpose of even having the clutch right because it only works over 3000 rpm. Shifts and downshift like butter.

Well, it works even if the lever is limb.... on what rpm the clutch starts to grab on your setup?

I don't have a speedo or tach but seems like it doesn't catch to at least 3000 rpm. But don't even see the point. As good as it shifts and downshift I don't need it.

Update. After a 200 mile ride today everything works just fine. No pulling on no clutch and that's what I wanted. Big test will be next week. Be at Myrtle Beach Bike Week all week so we will see how it holds up to the stop and go
