you need to file a claim against him and let ebay know he wanted to make a transaction outside of ebay. They will not only make him sell you the part for what the bid was they will take action against his acct. They take this kind of thing very seriously, due to the fact that they get fees from the sold item that was bid on and they also own pay pal and they get a percentage of the sale from his end. So in effect he is ripping them off as well as jerking you around. Report him even if you dont want the bag it saves others from getting scammed.

Only you know the situation the best, if you feel like he is being dishonest then report him, if you dont then only you can decide if you want to take the risk. As dent said and the seller said you have protection through pay pal. According to their rules he is not supposed to sell the item outside of ebay, but that again is your call. Every circumstance is different and should always be looked at from that perspective, but you have the Birds Eye view of the transaction.

Like Kevin said, if you send it through PayPal and list in notes what it' for you'l be protected and PayPal will refund you if you don' receive it. He is probably doing it to save paying the ridiculous eBay fees of 10%. Maybe tell him you'll do $65 shipped through PayPal and have him send an invoice for it.

If you wanted it you should have bid on it when it was up for auction. You are trying to lowball this guy and he is trying to sell it to you at what he considers a fair price. You stepped outside the ring and are now upset because there are no referees. I think he is legal by ebay rules. No bid he can pull it. If there is a bid he would have to honor it.

Wasn’t a lowball his starting bid was $50 I bid $50 nobody else bid a sorry he is not legal by ebay I contacted ebay last night and the matter is taking care of if you don’t wanna sell something for $50 don’t start your bid there it’s common sense but a lot of people don’t have so he has to sell it to me for $50 and ebay suspend him for trying to resell it to me outside of ebay so if you don’t know the story don’t answer and when I’m in the ring I always win

Don't do it. If you don't go through ebay you have no recourse. I would not even bid if he doesn't have a shipping charge up front because if you win it for $50 he could say it's $50 to ship it and you would have to pay. He sounds like a scam artist. I've been on Ebay since 1999 and seen it all.
