On Low downs site for the beads, this is the general rule

80 - 120 mm tire width front or rear ----------------------------- 1 oz
130 mm - 250 mm width front or rear--------------------------- 2 oz
260 mm - 300mm tire width rear tires-------------------------- 3 oz Kit


However, for the 250 kit, it says 2 oz for both tires???

Kit includes a 2 oz. bag for the front tire and 2 oz. bag for the rear tire
And also the application Bottle kit

This kit is for Big Dog bikes with a 120mm front tire
and a 250mm rear tire

I put the 2oz in my 120 front and 2oz in my 240 rear (03 Bulldog), was told by Jake that it wouldn't hurt to put more in...

Reason for this...

Dyna Beads shows 1 oz for a 80-120mm tire. The 120 is right on the border of 1 oz and with billet wheels and the over length front ends, the little bit of out of balance gets amplified. I have had about 2-3 people, when I first started selling the Beads, that said they still had a touch of vibration with 1 oz installed.

So all my BDM bike kits come with 2 oz for the front tire. Too much will never hurt a thing with these beads, so a little much is better than not enough!!!:2thumbs:

Some guys are still looking the bikes up and "piecing" together separate kits with 1 oz for the front tire just to save a couple bucks, but they will find out that 1 oz won't do the job!!

No, you probably just need to add another oz. to the front, especially if you removed the factory weights off the wheel.:2thumbs:

Are you saying that it is out of balance after the install?

If you put the entire recommended amount of beads in the tires, then you HAVE to take the weights off. It won't balance if left on.

If your bike is still out of balance you HAVE A PROBLEM with a tire! I have sold Duna Beads to HUNDREDS of people, maybe over 1000, and you will be the 1ST that it didn't work!!!!:D

I believe that recommendation is for smaller rims, not a 120mm on a 21" billet wheel! I am calling Dyna friday to tell them to change that on their website. I think that should read 80-100mm x 18" ----1oz and 110-120mm----2oz.

A 120mm x 16" or 18" wheel may be fine with 1oz, but a 21" wheel isn't.

I also had a problem but it sounds like it could be due to the amount put in.

I didn't get them from you Jake but a local parts shop. I had them put in with my new tires at 10k. I think they put in one ounce in the front. I did take off the wheel weights but within 3,000 miles I got a pretty bad vibration in the front end starting around 70 and it just got worse the faster I went and as I put more miles on. I thought when I first had them put in that the bike felt very smooth below 65

I just took the bike to the local BDM dealer and they took out the beads and re balanced and now 85-90 is very smooth but I still notice a little minor vibration at 70

Since I'm in AZ 80 is a pretty common speed
I might try them again before I replace the tires at 20k. I never had any vibration with the Avon Venom tires and weights so I'm not sure if the Avon Cobra tires are part of the problem

I thought those damn "beads" were all "Voodoo shit"!!! :job:

But last year I rode my bike (after shipping it to Tampa, back across country freezing my ass off in March. Seem's to be my thing now a days!! :rant:

Anyway, I replaced my rear tire but not my front and it was shot. It vibrated so bad that the front end legs bounced a good 2 or 3 inches. I was even going to take a video of it it bounced so bad.

Later after still not replacing the front tire I planned a trip back to Kalifornia for the Redwood Run.

By chance with lots of threads on here about the dyno beads magic I went ahead and ordered those stupid beads. Of course BDMRidgeback got them to me faster than any buddy else ships today!! :2thumbs:

I put those beads in my front tire and all the vibrations and bouncing in my front end was eliminated. This on a wore out old front tire with about 30,000 miles on it that I wanted to extend out just a few more hundred miles.

Well, that voodoo magic shit convinced me so I ordered a whole bunch more of it and am a firm believer now. :D

I did replace that old worn out front tire and I put more new beads in that new tire!!! :2thumbs: I ordered the big large bag to last for a while.

I talked my old school MC member neighbor into ordering a set. He's got an ultra and has a shake in the high 70's mph. I told him it may be the balance being the tires are new. We are going to put them in this week and see if it fixes it. I'm sure it will.

Has anyone put then in their cars or trucks yet? I have an Escalade with afternarket rims and had them balanced 3 times and I still get a vibration. The balancing machines were new and calibrated.:bang: :bang: :bang:

Man I want to Rain, but the SS has those tire monitors on the valve stems... Dealer advises against it because they believe the beads will get into the tire press unit. Which is probably the case with your esclade as well

I have sold a ton of them to guys wit cars and trucks. From import cars with aftermarket wheels to guys with slammed duallies with semi wheels on them!!!

I took the monitors off, they are a pain in the a#%
