The older bikes just have a hose coming from the oil bag with a plug in the end. Not sure what year they changed from that though.

I changed the oil for the first time in my Bulldog last night. Drained the tank, then took great care to not make a mess when I took the filter off. NOT! Oil went everywhere even though I thought I had enough rags to soak it up under the filter. Anyway..during the clean up process I took the filter mount off the engine to relocate some wires and I thought , why didn't I do this before I took the filter off? With the filter mount off I can swing the filter clear of the engine, it only has two capscrews that holds it on. On my bike there is plenty of slack in the oil lines to do this. It would be much faster to do it this way and save the clean up time. And yes I did put on a K&P and used the oil scavenger. Maybe I'm missing something here.......

I usually make myself a little disposable drip pan out of aluminum foil to wrap around the area under the filter. That will catch almost all the oil. You can cut up and old two liter pop bottle too, but that doesn't fit quite as well.

My bad. I forgot that front cylinder pipe on most of the bikes makes it too difficult to remove the housing easily.:spank: On my Bulldog the front pipe is routed differently than most.

That looks like the rear of your oil tank (located Underneath the bike) correct...?

They used that type of tank drain on 05 and up models.a few others may be different but thats *Your* Oil Tank Drain plug.
