I'm too tight with my $'s and want my $35K Big Dog investment to last as long as possible with as few problems as possible. I'll be the first one in line to come out and watch you guys tear up your machines on the 1/4 mile track, though!

To each, his own...ENJOY LIFE, whatever you do!!!

I believe a well built bike is fully capable of slamming through gears and riding in the yellow for 1/4 mile. That’s what a rev limiter is for, to protect the bike. Are any of you Ohio guys interested in going to a track one of these days? West Salem is only $15, can't beat it.

Thats the one. Most drag strips offer a test and tune day at least once a month for a nominal charge.

That kid on the turboed Busa I raced was scared shitless to get on it and he was nailing 9.5 ETs. I saw one online that had 600 HP and had a 258mph top speed. Now, what in the hell would you do with that. Wouldn't a large bug go right through ya?

All I know is I can out run a Harley Heritage with Screaming Eagle Top and Bottom End of motor done in it with mine...I'm still going to build it when its paid for....I would take it down a track, BUT ONLY to see the numbers before and after..

Way to go Toad,
Did you only make the one run?
These big bikes will move and when massaged a little bit will really run...
People like John Sach's prove this everyday with his talents and knowledge of the V Twins.... Mine is a hoot to ride every time you fire the beast up..

Not to piss on anyones parade but your bike is not insured on the drag strip. It wouldn't stop me but I thought it was worth mentioning.

That is very true Vegas.......so everyone keep it in the middle and make the turn at the end. If the guy comes out of the other lane and runs you over it is going to be a bad day anyway....

C'mon , I put a smiley face on my post. :) Being an owner of the baddest sportbike in the world,I couldnt let that comment pass without showing what those bikes can do with a real racer on them (189 and 182 mph in the 1/4). No ball bustin, didn't even post a word. Remember I have a Big Dog too. Alls I'm saying is if you beat a sportbike with ANY balls ,you beat the rider, not the bike. Like someone said earlier, some people are afraid to let them go. ( I stick up for Big Dogs on my sportbike forum too) Its hard to please everyone all of the time) :) Race on!
i think mikie's just fuckin with you:lol:. i ride with alot of sport bikes and that's what i came from. i constantly tell people your bike may be faster but YOUR not:D.

I made six runs total, could have stuck around for more but it was getting dark and the temperature drops like a rock in Ohio.

I also realize that the insurance on the bike is null on the track. Most life insurance policies are too, fyi. Regardless, this won't be my last time on the track.
