I think it'd be fun to run the track with fellow dogs......then all ride to the pub and make excuses...
:2thumbs:
250 --- 500 ---1000 ...... all WHIZZERS:roll::loony::roll:Good job Neil and Thumper. Make nice nice and have some beers! And to you Mr. Calfroper. It actually was a sportbike and the dog spanked his little spotry ass. I tried to find it but can't now but when I do I will try to get is up. Could have been a ninja 250 for all I know though!![]()
I question as to who the Dumbass really is, those of us that take our bikes to the track ( legal and limited to only injuring ourselves) or the guys that post here boasting how they beat a Harley on the Street. I think we should have an East Coast Shootout and invite everybody with a BigDog to join the fun, I have checked into renting 2 tracks around Virginia (Virginia Motorsports park and Maryland International) the rates are reasonable and both tracks are 1/4 mile, we also have an 1/8 mile track in Richmond but I've not checked into the rental program.
Now after all that if we were to put this together many more could be part of the BDDC- Big Dog Dumbass Club.
A lot variables but to rent the track ( 1 lane) prepped 1000', 2 EMT's (required) and timing staff was $1100.00 for 3 vehicles. The more participants you have there is a charge for them. We had 18 from work and the cost was $150.00 per person for 8 hours of test and tune. If this is done in the Fall months we can get both lanes for close to the same price. There also is a half day rental avaiable. If we can get more interest I'll check with the 3 I mentioned and see if if we can get a better price and what the safety requirements are. I know for us what is needed but not sure for the others. What was the cost? That would be fun as all get out.
On something like this I would be a dumb ass as well and eat my own words.I question as to who the Dumbass really is, those of us that take our bikes to the track ( legal and limited to only injuring ourselves) or the guys that post here boasting how they beat a Harley on the Street. way to go...A couple of weeks agao a guy pulled up beside me on a Suzuki 1000 and kept twisting and yanking the clutch beside me in traffic. While at the light he said to me that bike aint shit and I told him that I could buy 4 of his bikes for what mine was worth. That really pissed him off and when the light turned green that 300 hooked up and launched on his ass. I was at a complete stop at the next light when he pulled up and I asked him if he wanted some more and he just pouted. I pulled that sport bike through 1st,2nd,3rd, and 4th gear. If we had run top end there's no doubt he would have taken me, but all I could hear back there was what sounded like a 100 pound house fly chasing my ass.
Cool,Well, as long as everything goes well I will be posting my time slip tomorrow.
